The Department of Government and International Affairs at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor/instructor of international affairs to begin fall 2025. At Wofford, faculty serve as teacher-scholars dedicated to the education and mentorship of undergraduates in a liberal arts tradition. We require candidates to be broadly trained in international relations and/or comparative politics and to have the ability to teach a range of introductory and upper level international relations and comparative politics courses. Graduate coursework on teaching and/or additional pedagogical training through workshops or certificates is helpful for this position. The teaching load for this position is 4-4 with multiple sections of the same course.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Ph.D. or ABD in Political Science, equivalent or closely related field. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant or have taught at least one undergraduate level course(s).
